4月12日（日）に今年初めての試みとなるJCV会員だけの運動会を開催いたしました。
当初は参加希望が尐なく、参加するお子さん達が十分楽しんで いただけるのか不安になりましたが、最後の方にかけこみでの申し込みがたくさんあり、新規会員8家族を含む24家族、計95名にご参加いただき一日を楽し んでもらえたと思います。ラッフルの抽選会では、商品券や景品に子供たちが歓声をあげ、最後に全員で記念写真も撮りました。またこの子供たちの楽しめる企 画を考えなければと思った日でした。 会員のエマ・プレストンお姉さんをリーダーに毎年お願いしているengjoyの生徒さんたちやワーホリのお姉さんにお手伝い頂きました。

JCV運動会感想
この間は運動会でした。みんな赤、白のハチマキを頭にまいてやりました。私は赤でした。 まず最初にラジオたいそうをやりました。みんなでやってとても楽しかったです。さんぽに来ていた人もいっしょにたいそうをしていてちょっとふしぎに思いました。
私が一番好きだったきょうぎは二人さんきゃくでした。 私の友だちかれんちゃんとやりました。私もかれんちゃんもせがひくいので、サイズてきにはぴったりでした。走る時いきがぴったりで一位でした。 私が他に楽しかったのはリレーでした。私のチームにはお父さん、お友だちのももちゃんとももちゃんの弟のけんと君といっしょにやりました。みんな足が早い からよゆうの一位でした。 私が見ていておもしろかったのはバット回しでした。子どもより大人のを見るのがおもしろかったです。へんなところに行ったりたおれたりする人もいました。 私にとって一番むずかしかったきょうぎはパンくいきょうそうでした。見た目よりむずかしくて、パンにひもがぶらさがっていたため、手なしでたべるのはすご くむずかしかったです。すごく早く食べれる人もいてすごいと思いました。 きょねんも今年もラッフルに当たらなくて、白組がかって赤組がまけてしまったけど 楽しい一日でした。またらい年も行きたいです。こんどは赤組が勝つようにがんばりたいです。

JVC’s 2015 Sports Day
My family and I were lucky enough to of attend and partici-pate in JVC’s 2015 Sports Day on the 12th April. What a fan-tastic day!!!!!
The day started at 10am with all the participants receiving a coloured bandana signifying which team they were repre-senting along with a program outlining the time and a short explanation for each race.
After laying out our picnic blankets we were lead through a series of warm up exercises in sync to upbeat music readying ourselves for the fun that was to follow.
The day was filled with exciting events, starting with sprints, and followed by everything from egg and spoon to hilarious “race like a drunk” races. Our son loved searching for a lolly in a container of flour and was very proud of himself that his face didn’t end up completely white like all of his friends but nothing could quite beat the look on their faces as they watched their dad, with his hands behind his back trying to eat a doughnut swinging from a piece of string.
The laughter and smiles on all the children’s faces was unfor-gettable as they battled it out to reach the finishing tape first, second or third and take their number to the prize booth to claim a lolly, chocolate or delicious packet of chips.
We all stopped for a short lunch break during which time a mini golf demonstration was organised followed by all the children being able to have a go, and practice hitting the balls receiving some coaching and fun tips along the way.
The event ended with the long distance race, and although we saw tired and weary faces coming through the finishing line, that soon changed once the raffle draw began. JVC had organised some fantastic prizes and I’m positive nobody went home empty handed. All the kids stood at the front as prize and prize was handed out to smiling faces. The day finished with white being announced as the winning team for 2015.
JVC along with all the volunteers and helpers worked so hard to ensure that everyone had a wonderful day. Our kids could not stop talking about the fun they had and we’re already looking forward to next year!

うんどうかい
ぼくは、はしるのすきだった。いちばんたのしいだった。ばくはいちばんで、チップスもらっ た。アメくいきょうそうは、コナがあって、ぼくはバナナグミみて、それでバナナグミにガブってして、ワーってはしったの。くちにコナがきて、モクモクモク モクになった。ぼく、いちばんだった。ロリーもらった。でもヤダだったからこれはもうやらない。デカパンきょうそう、ママとやった。ママがおそいだったか らまけた。でもこれはおもしろいだった。ロリーのひと、ありがとう。

JCV運動会に参加して
僕は1ヶ月前に香川県からメルボルンに引越してきて、初めてJCVの運動会に参加しました。 当日会場に行くまでは、どんな運動会なのか、どんな友達がいるのかドキドキしていました。パン食い競争は、日本でもやったことがなかったので、初めてでき て嬉しかったです。しかもドーナツがとても美味しかったので、3回も参加してしまいました。バット回り競争は、予想していたほど酔いませんでしたが、大人 は回った後に違う方向へ走って行ってしまったりしていたので、面白かったです。アメ食い競争で、友達が思いっきり粉に顔を突っ込み、顔中真っ白でゴールし た時は、一緒に記念撮影をしました。
最後の長距離は、最初のうちはトップグループについて行き、後半にかけて先頭の人に次いで走り、最後にラストスパートをかけました。想像していたより辛 かったですが、賞品のグミをいただき、皆で分けて食べられたのが嬉しかったです。とても楽しかったので、来年もまた参加したいです。
